DVA Circular on MECQ

May 15, 2020

Dear Residents

As we move into the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine, we wish to remind everyone to continue taking the precautions practiced during ECQ. We wish to highlight three aspects of MECQ that affect the village 1) Opening up of more industries, 2) Construction inside the village, 3) Exercise within the village.

Opening up of more industries: On Monday May 18, 2020, we expect that many of our residents will be going back to work as more industries are allowed to operate. Different companies will have different operating protocols with some providing testing. Please continue to follow habits formed during ECQ, wear a mask, wash your hands often, keep social distancing and go through the foot baths. If you are tested and found infected, please inform the DVA or Barangay Office so we can coordinate with your household on the proper protocols to help prevent the spread to your family and the village.

Construction inside Dasmarinas Village: The MECQ allows more types of construction projects to continue including “shelter necessary to address housing backlog”. However, the construction of single family homes is considered a small scale project and therefore, not allowed. Until we get further clarification, construction of homes is deferred at least until we move into GCQ. We are in touch with the building contractors who have projects inside the village and they agree that complying with DPWH requirements during MECQ is very difficult given conditions. This issue is still under review.

Exercise within Dasmarinas Village: Jogging, walking, biking and other outdoor activities are allowed during MECQ. DVA and the Barangay are coordinating efforts to create guidelines on this issue. The guidelines will be released later today.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Your DVA Board of Governors
